KDDI Malaysia October 31, 2019
KDDI Malaysia, on October 24th, participated in “SMART MANUFACTURING Adoption in Industries” held by JETRO.
70 audiences (from 40 companies) gathered in SIRIM Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In 2018, Malaysian government launched the plan of “Malaysia Industry4.0 (4WRD)”, and conversion from the manufacturing industry by labor and capital input to an intellectual manufacturing is an urgent issue for Malaysia. The government also has announced that it will provide local SMEs with a total of RM 210 million (approximately US $ 50 million) for 500 companies that meet certain conditions from 2019 to 2020.
KDDI introduced comprehensive automation technology for both office operation with RPA (Robotics Process Automation) and factory operation with IoT (Internet of Things). These technologies generate high efficiency and value-added labor, on which the country needs to deeply focus along with the plan of 4WRD.
At the KDDI Malaysia booth, demonstration of UiPath robot was exhibited. In addition to automation solution, KDDI also introduced “DEFENDER-X” security camera solution that can analyze the micro vibration of persons from video images and measure the person’s mental status or emotional level for preventive detection of crime.
We have received asking from several local company managers to promote smart factories, so will continue to make necessary proposals for those companies.
